Moving from one side of Australia to the other comes with its fair share of issues. Friends, comfort zone, relationships with professionals such as mechanics and your favourite 4wd accessories stores.
But a big bonus comes with all the new areas you get to explore. I’ll admit, I wasn’t too keen on moving to Perth. All the above reasons aside, from a 4wd perspective I imagined it to be flat tracks, sand and long drives to everywhere… wasn’t I wrong.
Something Chantelle and I really enjoyed was driving on Stockton Dunes, which is a few hours drive north of Sydney. We were looking forward to introducing the kids to it, knowing it was close by now we were in WA.
The locals in WA get to take it for granted though. Getting onto the beach was just a 40min drive from home. Only 10mins south of Mandurah is a well marked turnoff to Tims Thickett and another 10mins sees you at Whitehills Beach.
Had a great day just cruising along past the dozens of families enjoying the area fishing, swimming or whatever. The locals in WAHad a great day just cruising along past the dozens of families enjoying the area fishing, swimming or whatever.
It’s just another confirmation in the tick of approval that is Western Australia.
